GFP‐tagging of extracellular vesicles for rapid process development

Extracellular vesicles are secreted by most mammalian cell types and have gained increasing attention owing to their promising potential as a novel therapeutic platform. One of the bottlenecks in the large scale production of EVs is the lack of analytical measures for quick characterization of downstream processes to aid process development. In this study the authors develop an approach to tag EVs with green fluorescent protein to rapidly estimate EV recovery.
