    Abstract
    The investigation is focused on the development of a compartmentalized microfluidic device for coculturing the cells of crucial retinal cellular layers and assessing cell-to-cell interactions. A perfusion-based microfluidic device was employed for coculturing the retinal epithelium and precursor cells.
