    Abstract
    Zinc-dependent HDAC subtypes exhibit differential expression in various cancer types and significantly contribute to oncogenic cell transformation, and hence are interesting anticancer drug targets. The approved pan HDAC inhibitors lack subtype specificity and inhibit all ZnHDACs, causing severe side-effects.
