    Cancer arises through accumulation of somatically acquired genetic mutations. An important question is to delineate the temporal order of somatic mutations during carcinogenesis, which contributes to better understanding of cancer biology and facilitates identification of new therapeutic targets.   • Identification of key pathways and genes in PTEN mutation prostate cancer by bioinformatics analysis

    Abstract
    Background
    Prostate cancer remains one of the leading adult malignancies. PTEN mutant is the top common mutated genes in prostate cancer, which makes it a promising biomarker in future individualized treatment.
    Methods
    We obtained gene expression data of prostate cancer from TCGA database for analysis. We analyzed the DEGs , and used online tools or software to analyze Gene ontology and the Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes , Gene set enrichment analysis , Search Tool for the Retrieval of Interacting Genes/Proteins, and Molecular Complex Detection.
